Hi friends,

As you all know, I am on an adventure with my family travelling around Australia. We have set up this blog so that everyone back at home can see where we have gone and what we have been up to. The home page contains links to all of our posts about the places we have been so far. You can read these to find out what we got up to at each place as well as see some photos. I have set up this page so you can ask me any questions you have about the trip so far, or where we are planning to go. I would also like to hear what you have been up to back in Sydney. If you want to send me a message just leave a reply in the comment box at the bottom of this page. I look forward to hearing from you.

  1. Hi Ollie

    How is your trip going?
We had a surfing scientist come to school yesterday, he taught us about explosions. He’s called the surfing scientist because he likes to go surfing at the weekends. Our football team is doing great, we have only lost one game out of seven. Everyone at school has a fidget spinner but now Mr. Huckerby has banned them, I am hoping to get one in the post very soon.
Tennis is going well, nothing has really changed. Your pictures look great and Mrs Whiteman the librarian told me that she had driven all around the outside of Australia too.

Anyway, its nearly my bedtime so, it would be great if you could send me a message back soon and I look forwards to hearing more about your adventure! PS I don;t think my mummy would ever go in a campervan.

    1. Thanks Alfie,
I’m hoping to get a Fidget Spinner too, soon. The Surfing Scientist day sounded fun, I wish I was there too. Hopefully your soccer team makes it to the finals (if there are some). The trip is going great! My favourite places so far have been: Bindara, Uluru, Coober Pedy and Mildura.

  2. Hi Ollie,
It’s all of 3G here. We have spent some time reading your blog and we all think it sounds like you are having an awesome time. Our class assembly is coming up next week and we have been practising really hard. We have a poem and a song to perform. We have been having some fundraising in school and had a ‘Guess the lollies in the jar’ competition. And guess who won?? Clarissa!! She guessed 599 and there were 596. That’s a lot of lollies!!!
We will keep watching your blog and cant wait to see where you go next.
    Sending all our best wishes,
    3G and Miss Spencer !!

    1. Hi 3G, I am having a great time. We are currently in Katherine but are about to head down the Gibb River Road towards Broome. Our class assembly sounds amazing! I wish I could be there to participate in it as well. Congratulations Clarissa! What type of lollies are they? Whatever type they are, they’ll probably last you a couple of months at the least. Great to hear from you. From Oli.

  4. Dear Oli
Hello! How are you? Your trip looks so fun. I can’t believe how close you got to the crocodiles. They look so amazing doing their tricks of jumping out of the water! And their eyes are SCARY!
What was it like to be in a place with so many mosquitos?! 🙂 I can just imagine how loud the buzzing was. Sometimes I can hear them just when there are a few when we are having dinner on our deck!
Is your brown bear new? He looks lovely and I don’t think I have seen him before. He is lucky to be going on a trip around Australia! 🙂
Have a great time and we are looking forward to seeing you soon.
    love from Luki 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂

    1. Hi Luki, our trip is really fun and the crocs were AMAZING!!!!!! The mozzies were so bad, they caused Emi to end up with about 20 mozzie bites on each leg! I got Brownie from Vinnies back in Sydney. Love from Oli. 😊

    1. Dear Nonna, I loved doing the show and are planning to put on another show with just me doing at least 4 magic tricks! I got the hat from Katherine to protect my head from the sun on long walks. Love from Oli. 😀

  6. Dear Oli, it seems such a long time since Papi and I were with you in Darwin. You have travelled a long way since then and had lots more new and exciting experiences. I LOVE your new hat, it makes you look just like a jackaroo on one of the big stations you have camped on. Now you are on the west coast so you can watch the sunset over the water instead of the sunrise on the east coast. Do you remember watching the sunrise with Dad at Pearl Beach last year? Lots of Love, Gagi

    1. Dear Billy,
Did you have a snowball fight in the snow? The blog is behind, right now we are in Coral Bay. We just left Exmouth where we saw a giant whale shark and a giant prawn. How’s that against a giant sheep?!?!?!
      From Oli.
P.S. You won’t see me soon, I’ve still got 3 months to go!!!🤑🤣😎😝🙁😎😛😞😞😝🙁😩😔😛😝

  8. It is such fun to see the photos of all the exciting things you are doing. Do you remember Papi’s piece of compressed shells from the shell beach in Shark Bay. Now you have seen this beach for yourself. We are staying in a small town with a very old wall all around it to protect the inhabitants from invaders. All the buildings are painted white and some of the streets are only just wide enough for a small car to drive along them. The streets are made with cobblestones, so it is quite bumpy in a car. Lots of love, Gagi
